Trevor Morbeck

Trevor Morbeck - Soo Greyhounds

6'2" - 197 LBS
D.O.B. November 21. 1993

Morbeck is a product of Team Illinois Under 16 where he played in 74 games and scored 48 goals and 61 assists for 109 points to go along with 51 penalty minutes in 2008-2009.

Morbeck was a 3rd round pick, 60th overall of the Greyhounds in the 2009 OHL Priority Draft. He is entering his third season with the Greyhounds. His rookie season was a learning year for him where he played in 57 games and scored 5 goals and 8 assists. He followed that up in his second season scoring 10 goals and 10 assists in 57 games.

The big power forward has a strong powerful stride and skates very well for his size. That size makes him a force in front of the net where he is difficult to move. He has soft hands and a decent shot. He understands the defensive side of the game and plays smart safe hockey. He's been a plus player in his OHL career to date. He's strictly a north-south player going up and down his wing, will battle along the boards, in the corners and in front of the opposition net.

Morbeck is also not afraid to drop the gloves. And just like his skating, he throws a long and powerful punch.
