OHL News - Radio Edition with host Terry Doyle features another 2012 NHL Entry Draft prospect that will compete in the 2012 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.

Matt Murray of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds is the second ranked goaltender by NHL Central Scouting and will compete for Team Cherry in Kelowna.

Murray, a 17-year-old from Thunder Bay, ON, is playing in his second OHL season with the Hounds and has an 11-15-0-1 record with a 4.15 goals-against-average and 0.872 save percentage so far this season.

The Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game will take place Wednesday February 1 and can be seen live at 10:00 pm Eastern on Sportsnet.

NHL prospect Scott Kosmachuk resets, takes OHL by Storm

As an OHL rookie, Scott Kosmachuk played all 68 games last season.

But about a quarter of the way into this campaign, his NHL draft-eligible year, Guelph Storm head coach Scott Walker sat him out one game.

“It seemed like he was putting a tremendous amount of pressure on himself to be great, to score a goal every game or do something to impress the scouts,” said Walker, who played more than 800 NHL games for four teams.

“It wasn’t a discipline thing. It wasn’t a bad play thing,” he said of the decision to sit Kosmachuk down for a Nov. 13 game in Kitchener. “It was more to take pressure off him, say: ‘Hey, relax and play your game.’ ”

OHL News Radio Edition with host Terry Doyle features 2012 NHL Entry Draft prospect Tom Wilson of the Plymouth Whalers.

Wilson, a 17-year-old from Toronto, ON, has 16 points in 33 games and was recently ranked 33rd among North American Skaters by NHL Central Scouting in their midterm rankings.  Wilson will play for Team Cherry in the upcoming Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.

OHL News Radio Edition will feature a new prospect each week on the show leading up to the 2012 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game which takes place February 1 in Kelowna, BC, and can be seen live on Sportsnet.
